Abstract
A gas microwave spectrometer using source modulation is briefly described, together with its special features to minimize cell reflections and optimize performance. These include second derivative presentation, a high pass signal filter in the output, klystron phase locking and retention of the optimum position on its mode, and attenuators inside the waveguide tapers. Some examples of its performance are given in the figures. Keywords
