Abstract
Single crystals of α glycine were γ irradiated and then photolyzed at 77 K. The structure of the HNCH2 CO2 − radical so formed and its position in the crystal have been determined by single crystalESR measurements. The factors controlling the reactivity of this radical in the matrix at 173 K are suggested. Keywords
