Abstract
In a case of retinal incarceration after injury of the eye, the retina was mobilized by cutting it free and creating a 240 degree dialysis. The retina could be reattached with the help of intraocular gas techniques developed for the treatment of giant retinal tears. This case demonstrates that actual cutting of the retina can result in successful reattachment of the retina.
