Abstract
The influence of the Coriolis force variability (Rossby effect or β-effect) on the atmospheric processes is discussed. In the first part the adaptation process is investigated. In the second part the explicit form of the solution of the prognostic equation with a linear term β(aH/ax) on the left-hand side is estimated. It is shown that, in comparison with the conventional method, the method described allows the time step to be increased slightly. Finally, some additional results and conclusions are given.
