Abstract
In sixty-eight U.S. Census Tracts the suicide rates for men and women are predicted by different sets of demographic variables. For men the predictive efficiency is higher with fewer variables than for women. Also, male and female suicide rates are located at widely separated points in factor-space.Keywords
