Abstract
An agar medium with 4% proteose peptone No. 2 and mineral salts and glucose is a satisfactory substitute for the infusion and digest media of N. Hayward and of Nagler for LV plate reactions for identification of certain clostridia. Addition of blood is unnecessary when 10% sterile egg-yolk suspension is incorporated in medium. Keywords
