Abstract
The first-formed flower primordium on determinate varieties (plants with terminal inflorescences) of Phaseolus vulgaris has been identified and located. Irrespective of the number of leaves on the main stem, it is formed directly in the axil of the uppermost leaf. The physiological significance of this is discussed. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
