Abstract
Three ferns are described from lower Miocene sediments of the Manuherikia Group, New Zealand. One of these is compared with a species in the extant New Zealand Blechnum “procerum/capense/kiokio” complex, B. cf. procerum. Pneumatopteris sp. (distinct from the extant New Zealand P. pennigera (Forst, f.) Holttum, Thelypteridaceae) is recorded. A further form is of unknown affinity. Keywords
