Abstract
Between 1954 and 1960 the Taft Australianism Scale was developed empirically to discriminate between socio‐political attitudes held by Australians and by immigrants from Europe. A review is presented of a number of studies that have been conducted since the Scale was first published which indicate that it still discriminates with almost un‐diminished power between the criterion groups. This is so, despite changes in the types of immigrants, and despite continued interaction between the immigrants and Australians. Keywords
