Abstract
The near coincidence of the P(16) line of the CO2 laser in 10.6 μm and the ν 2 [ q R − (0,0)] line of 15NH3 was used to measure the pressure broadening and the absolute absorption coefficient of the latter transition. The pressure broadening parameter was determined to be Δν p =13.3±1.2 MHz / torr , and the transition dipole moment of the ν2 vibrational transition was determined to be 0.239 D.Keywords
