Abstract
Two unusual characteristics of the lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) of 3 strains of S. thermophilus are reported. All strains had 2 enzymes both of which form L(+)-lactate. All 3 strains had LDH activity which is independent of fructose-1,6-diphosphate.This publication has 9 references indexed in Scilit:
