Abstract
Nanosecond flash photolysis, quenching, and phosphorescence studies show that the photoreactions of thiobenzoate O-esters proceed mainly via the lowest nπ* triplet state; chemical evidence for the formation of a 1,4-diradical intermediate is presented.Keywords
