Abstract
A saucer-type trap designed for monitoring populations of Heliothis spp. was the most efficient of 5 types of traps in capturing cabbage loopers, Trichoplusia ni (Hübner), but no statistical differences could be shown among the trap types in the capture of pink bollworms, Pectinophora gossypiella (Saunders). Gossyplure or virelure used in combination with looplure as bait did not affect captures of cabbage loopers. However, looplure used in combination with gossyplure did reduce captures of pink bollworms. Virelure used in combination with looplure or gossyplure did not affect captures of either cabbage loopers or pink bollworms. Therefore, more than one lure can be placed in a single trap for survey of more than one insect species. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
