Abstract
The depairing effects on an applied magnetic field have been studied for inhomogeneous superconductors by measuring the critical currents of SNS junctions. Critical currents are found to decrease exponentially with increasing H over 3 orders of magnitude change in Ic. If the depairing parameter is taken to be α=DNeH/C, one finds a diffusivity of 0.22 m2s−1 which agrees with the value from resistivity to an accuracy of about 30%.Keywords
