Abstract
Glutamate pyruvate transaminase (GPT), esterase D (ESD), glyoxalase I (GLO) and phosphoglucomutase 1 (PGM1) were studied on red cells from unrelated individuals from Porto district (Portugal). The allele frequencies found were: GPT1 = 0.49; GPT2 = 0.50; GPT3 = 0.002; GPT1M = 0.008; ESD1 = 0.83; GLO1 = 0.43; PGM1 = 0.76. These findings are discussed in the context of other European populations.Keywords
