Abstract
A case of subacute bacterial endocarditis due to Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans followed dental extraction under penicillin cover. Isolation of the organism was only achieved by incubating blood cultures in a CO2-enriched atmosphere. The patient was successfully treated with streptomycin. Keywords
