Calculation of Edge Stresses in Multi-Layer Laminates by Sub-Structuring

Abstract
A simplified method for calculating interlaminar stresses is accom plished by smearing two or more laminas as a quasi-homogeneous lamina. Numerical examples show the accuracy and the limitations of the smearing technique.Keywords
