Myeloproliferative Syndromes

Abstract
This article, the second in a continuing education update series on hematology, reviews the myeloproliferative syndromes (MPS), a group of closely interrelated disorders of the peripheral blood and bone marrow. In this review, we discuss the clinical conditions associated with MPS, typical blood smear and bone marrow findings, and the clinical outcome of patients who have these disorders. In addition, the various treatments for different MPS are a major focus of this article.
