Abstract
Pneumonia is a rare complication of varicella infection and when severe, may be lethal. A case is reported of severe hemorrhagic pneumonia with survival, following the use of cortisone. It is speculated that the hemorrhagic phenomena may represent an immunovascular reaction.Keywords
