Abstract
Polycrystalline film has been grown on fused silica by pulsed laser deposition at . The wavelength dependence of the transmittance of the film was determined. We first obtained the band gap . Favourable optical waveguiding properties have been demonstrated by observation of sharp m lines from the TE and TM multimodes. The surface and cross sectional morphology of the film was studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM).Keywords
