Abstract
The radiative widths of hadrons and the resonance contributions to the π0 photoproduction cross sections are calculated using the two-body composite model of baryons proposed by the present author. Reasonable results are obtained and they are compared with those obtained from the quark model. The main results are the following: (1) The E2 amplitude of the Δ+(1236) →pγ process vanishes as in the quark model. (2) Moorhous’ selection rule cannot be obtained. (3) The smallness of helicity 1/2 amplitudes of the π0 photoproduction processes through the second and third resonances can be explained.
