Abstract
DESPITE considerable evidence that immune mechanisms are involved in the pathogenesis of diffuse renal vascular diseases of various types, the results of immunosuppressive therapy in such patients have been variable though generally disappointing, especially in the adult age group.2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 The present report describes a program of combined corticosteroid and azathioprine therapy of 32 patients, predominantly in the pediatric age range, with life-threatening forms of these diseases. The results of the first two years of the study suggest that in many of these younger patients this combined therapy brings about significant improvement.PatientsThirty-two patients with renal disease were treated with . . .This publication has 16 references indexed in Scilit:
