Abstract
The chromosomes of a species of Psychodidae, Telmatoscopus sp, were studied. The salivary glands have six polytene chromosomes which usually have asynaptic zones and several heterozygous bands, puffs and as well as heterozygous nucleoli. A cytological map of these chromosomes was drawn. The probable meaning of these findings is discussed. Keywords
