Abstract
In this correspondence, a new method of finding the transformation matrix that transforms the state-variable equations of a linear time-invariant single-input system to the phase-variable canonical form is presented. The method is simple and computationally it is shown to be superior to all the methods that have so far appeared in the technical literature. Keywords
