Collodion Baby With Transient Bilateral Upper Lid Ectropion

Abstract
A newborn male had ichthyosis and transient bilateral ectropion. A review of the recent world literature concerning ocular manifestations in ichthyosis indicates that an eye examination can be helpful in classifying ichthyosis. This classification is important in determining the mode of inheritance and serving as a guide in family counseling. The ophthalmologist can now anticipate certain ocular changes and their sequelae, depending on the category of ichthyosis present.
