Abstract
The BMW 750 i, the top model in BMW's new 7 Series range, is powered by the first standard-production 12- cylinder engine to be made in Germany in about 50 years. This is the first automobile with interconnected electronic systems for controlling the engine, automatic transmission and driving stability. The paper describes the objective and concept of the drive train and driving stability electronics, the individual functions and their interplay. It also presents the various measures taken to make the drive management system absolutely reliable. Keywords
