Abstract
Oil Red O histochemical studies on D. dorotocephala showed that neutral lipids are localized mainly in the gastrodermis of the intestine. TLC analysis showed the major lipid fractions to be phospholipids, triglycerides and free sterols, along with lesser amounts of free fatty acids and sterol esters. Histochromatographic analysis of D. dorotocephala suggested that the main neutral lipid fractions detected in the gut were triglycerides and free sterols. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
