Abstract
This paper is not intended in any way to be a review of the factors which affect the activity of antimicrobial compounds. It is, rather, an effort to examine in a more philosophical vein some of the variables, mainly in terms of the experimenter, closer control of which may help to reduce the at present distressingly large discrepancies in the results of different laboratories. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
