Abstract
Phenelzine pretreatment increased the group toxicity (LD50) of pethidine and imipramine, tended to increase that of methadone but did not change the LD50 of alphaprodine, anileridine, piminodine, pentazocine and protriptyline. Methadone, pethidine, imipramine and protriptyline partially prevented reserpine-induced hypothermia while piminodine and pentazocine potentiated it. The present results show that the interactions of methadone and pethidine with phenelzine or with reserpine can be similar to those of imipramine with phenelzine or reserpine. Keywords
