Abstract
Measurements of the J=12 rotational transitions of N14 F3 and N15 F3 yield the following molecular and nuclear properties. For N14 F3, B0=10,680.96 Mc/sec., IB=78.5475×1040 g cm2; for N15 F3, B0=10,629.35 Mc/sec., IB=78.9291×1040 g cm2. The molecular dimensions are: dNF=1.371 A and ∠FNF=102° 9′. The nuclear quadrupole coupling of N14 is -7.07 Mc/sec. This yields +0.01×1024 cm2 as the most probable value of the nuclear quadrupole moment of N14.
