Der sogenannte «Reibtest», seine Anwendung und klinische Bedeutung

Abstract
In 151 allergic subjects, the immediate wealing reaction provoked by different antigens absorbed by inhalation or by ingestion is demonstrated, as well as an extremely 3imple method of examination for studying anaphylactic and cutaneo-vascular types of sensitization. The "friction test" is specially indicated when looking for antigens in patients of the highest sensitivity type. Based on the anatomy and physiology of the skin, the "friction test" is the absorption of the antigen by the transfollicular route; furthermore, this test bears also a contribution to the question of the percutaneous absorption of macro-molecular non-dissociated antigens.
