Abstract
A new 4×4 sequentially rotated patch antenna array using an out-of-line series feed network is presented. The use of a series feed is shown to increase input impedance bandwidth and axial ratio bandwidth compared with a corporate feed when used in this sequentially rotated array. Performance is confirmed by full-wave simulation and experimental measurement, demonstrating a voltage standing wave ratio 2:1 bandwidth of 14.7% and a 3 dB axial ratio bandwidth of 12.4%.Keywords
