Abstract
While concluding that there is no rule of thumb method for determining the best structure for industrial relations procedures and negotiations in a multi‐plant company, the author maintains that the main board has a vital role to play in developing a vigorous industrial relations policy, in disseminating information, and acting generally as a “guide, philosopher and friend” to the units in the group.Keywords
