Abstract
In cases of hysterical hemiplegia and hemianesthesia, paresis or paralysis develops on one side of the body, usually on the left side, and a diminution or loss of all modalities of sensation, including the special senses, occurs on that side of the body. The disease must be distinguished from organic neurologic disease. The differential diagnosis of these two diseases is described in detail. Keywords
