Abstract
A simple energy-dependent optical potential is obtained which describes proton scattering from light nuclei in the energy range 50-160 MeV. The properties of the potential are compared with other available phenomenological potentials and with theoretical predictions. Some distorted-wave calculations for the (p, 2p) reaction are included to show the sensitivity to the choice of optical potential. Keywords
