Abstract
SUMMARYIn 15 species of the genus Cassia, investigated at the stage of adult plan and/or seedling, the persistence of the nucleolus during mitosis has been observed. Among the species studied is Cassia siamea Lam., for which no description of that phenomenon is reported in the cytological investigation of JACOB (1940) on Cassia.Since persisting nucleoli have been encountered in all of the species investigated by the writer, nucleolar persistence during mitosis in Cassia apparently is a general or very common cytological phenomenon in that genus.This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
