Alkaline phosphatase and phosphodiesterase I activities of duodenal enterocytes harvested from mice with or without lactobacilli as intestinal inhabitants were determined. The presence of lactobacilli as members of the digestive tract microbiota did not influence the two enzyme activities. Keywords
