Abstract
The effect of i.m. injection of 1000 mg medroxyprogesterone acetate on plasma renin activity and antidiuretic hormone [ADH] was studied in 9 postmenopausal women. There were no significant differences in the plasma renin activity and ADH values before and after the injection. Postmenopausal women (8) received d-norgestrel (0.180 mg/day) during a 3-wk period. The therapy had no effect on plasma renin activity, ADH or aldosterone excretion. Keywords
