Pustular mycosis fungoides

Abstract
A unique case of mycosis fungoides is presented. Initially the patient''s eruption was vesicular and pustular. In a three-year-period reddish infiltrated plaques typical of mycosis fungoides appeared. Histopathologic examination revealed the presence of subcorneal pustules, and of atypical lymphomatous cells in the skin. These were most noticeable in the plaque stage, but were also seen retrospectively in earlier biopsies. Evidence is presented to show that the pustular eruption and mycosis fungoides were part of the same disease process. Generalized pustular dermatosis should be included as one of the polymorphous clinical manifestations of early mycosis fungoides.
