Abstract
The total cross section for deuteron photodisintegration has been measured in the -ray energy range between 15 and 75 MeV, by use of the monochromatic LADON photon beam of the Frascati National Laboratories and detection of the proton. The results are in substantial agreement with the standard theory and do not provide evidence for contributions of quark degrees of freedom.
