Abstract
A placebo controlled, double-blind, crossover study of Venostasin retard was carried out in 52 pregnant women with oedema due to venous insufficiency. There was a statistically significant reduction of the oedema in the Venostasin treated group, who also showed greater resistance to oedema provocation. During Venostasin treatment patients also recorded less severe symptoms of pain, fatigue, swelling and itching. Keywords
