Abstract
A more rigorous and generalized method for characterizing aperture antennas with a coplanar waveguide feed is developed. Two types of aperture antennas, the slot and loop, are investigated parametrically to illustrate this technique. The magnitude of S/sub 11/ parameters of these two types of antennas is shown. It is seen that the bandwidth of the loop antenna for a SWR (standing wave ratio) ofKeywords
