Abstract
Using the projector Monte Carlo method of Blankenbecler and Sugar to compute Hamiltonian eigenvalues, we report string-tension evaluation down to in (2+1)-dimensional U(1) lattice gauge theory. Moreover, we present some evidence of string roughening via the study of the string width.
