Abstract
Indole and indoleacetic acid are shown to inhibit the growth of a vitamin B12 dependent microorganism, a mutant strain of Escherichia coli. It is suggested that the mechanism of that inhibition may be a competitive inhibition of some enzymatic system necessary for the utilization of vitamin B12.Keywords
