Abstract
In the analysis of bovine sperm lipids for fatty acid composition by gas chromatography, an unknown component was identified as the dimethyl acetal of palmitaldehyde. Smaller amounts of other aldehydes were also detected. The possible role of aldehydogenic substances (plasma-logens) in conception is discussed briefly. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
