Attenuation of Rayleigh surface waves by surface roughness

Abstract
We have carried out a calculation of the attenuation of Rayleigh surface waves by surface roughness, in the limit where the amplitude of the roughness is small. A Green’s function method has been employed in the work. In this letter, we present a summary of our method along with some principal results.Keywords
