Abstract
An optical sampling system has been improved to provide time resolution below 1 ps and a 22.5 nm wavelength bandwidth by using a periodically poled lithium niobate crystal. An eye diagram for a 10 Gbit/s optical signal could be obtained at 1 mW peak power, and a 160 Gbit/s optical signal could also be observed clearly. Keywords
