Abstract
In an article in the May 1998 issue of the Journal (Kahane S, Greenberg D, Friedman MG, Haikin H, Dagan R. High prevalence of “Simkania Z,” a novel Chlamydia-like bacterium, in infants with acute bronchiolitis. J Infect Dis 1998; 177: 1425–9), there is one error four letters from the 3′ end in a gene sequence. In Subjects and Methods, in the paragraph PCR for detection of ‘Z’ DNA, the ZPF primer should be 5′-AAAGGTAACGAATAATTGCCT-3′. In an article in the September 1998 issue of the Journal (Bray M, Davis K, Geisbert T, Schmaljohn C, Huggins J. A mouse model for evaluation of prophylaxis and therapy of Ebola hemorrhagic fever. J Infect Dis 1998; 178: 651–61), there is an error in the second paragraph of the text. In the third sentence, “(this supplement)” should be removed.
