Abstract
The analysis of means is an alternative to the analysis of variance for experimental designs with factors at fixed levels. It is especially recommended for ease of interpretation and graphical presentation of results. This paper gives a step-by-step introduction to the use of the analysis of means. The procedure is applied to one-way and two-way factorial designs. Examples illustrating its usefulness for analyzing proportions and counts are also given. Keywords
