Abstract
The acute phase protein (Cx-protein) was produced in rabbits by the admn. of 3 cytotoxic agents: X-radiation, nitrogen mustard, and amethopterine. Rabbit sera containing Cx-protein and a specific antiserum prepd. against this substance were drawn into capillary tubes following the method descr. by Swift, Wilson, and Lancefield. Precipitation resulted from the mixture of antigen and antibody. There was no obvious correlation between the variation in the leucocyte differential counts and Cx_protein production. Keywords
